I’m Louise Kennedy - author of Mind the Generation Gap, speaker, podcast host and founder of Oculus HR. I help leaders understand changing employee expectations, move beyond generational stereotypes and create workplaces where people of every generation can perform and thrive.
Gen Z is often described as difficult, demanding, overly sensitive or unwilling to work like previous generations. Those labels may create headlines, but they do not help managers lead people or businesses retain good employees.
Published on 13 October 2026, Mind the Generation Gap explores communication, feedback, flexibility, technology, career progression and the changing relationship between employees and their managers. It moves beyond stereotypes and gives managers practical ideas they can use to build stronger multigenerational teams.
The book grew from my Mind the Generation Gap podcast conversations with people from different generations and more than 20 years of practical HR experience.
I work with organisations across the UK through keynote talks, panels, leadership workshops and future-ready workforce sessions. My approach is practical, commercial and people-focused, helping leaders turn changing workplace expectations into clearer leadership, stronger management and a focused people plan.
